Treatment of disorders of the muscles, bones, or joints resulting from injury or disease of the muscles or nerves. Treatment, by a trained physiotherapist, includes the use of such agents as water (e.g., whirlpool baths), manual and electrically stimulated massage, heat, and exercise to stimulate nerves, prevent muscular atrophy, and train other muscles to compensate for damaged ones.
